Based on our current conversations with public health officials, we do not anticipate a disruption to Kaslo Jazz or Home For May Days due to COVID-19. Planning for both the 2020 Kaslo Jazz Etc Summer Music Festival and Home for May Days 2020 is in full swing and while we are very excited for both events, we are also actively monitoring the situation, including the limits to large gatherings. We have decided as a team to push on with both events as we wait for this to unfold. We will continue to provide updates through this mailing list or through our social media channels as things evolve.
We are taking this as an opportunity to learn more about public safety and how to make our events as clean as possible for everyone involved. Public safety is our number one concern. We will be announcing our full 2020 Jazz Fest lineup soon, as well as what steps we are taking on-site to navigate these new challenges we are all facing.
These are hard times for people that work in arts and culture, and local businesses in small communities like ours. Many events, tours, and public gatherings are being impacted and we encourage you to find other ways to support these people. Buying merchandise, paying for music, or buying gift certificates are all ways we can support each other.
We encourage everyone to check out the link below on ways to stay safe and healthy. We’ll all get through this together.
And wash your hands!
With love and no handshakes,
